Zero Emission Energy from North Africa

Green Hydrogen
Green hydrogen (h2.green) will become a key raw material for the energy transition in the coming years - in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Without truly "green" hydrogen, which is verifiably produced from renewable sources such as sun, wind and others and can be used in a climate-neutral way, the internationally agreed goal of decarbonizing the industrial world cannot be achieved.

The race to find the best ways to reliably and cost-effectively supply ourselves with the "miracle fuel of the energy transition" has long since begun. With its large number of high-performance industrial companies, Germany's economy will soon develop an enormous demand for clean, largely emission-free energy. In the coming decades, our country will be and remain a major net importer of clean energy - especially green hydrogen.

Among the producer countries that are potential supply partners for the German and European economy, the sun- and wind-rich north of Africa will play a prominent role in the future - above all the Kingdom of Morocco. Provided that a long-term strategic energy partnership can soon be agreed with the country, which built some of the largest solar and wind power plants in Africa years ago, which will benefit both sides and open up opportunities for the future.
Moroccos Ouarzazate-Noor-Solar-Plant
supplies 2 million Moroccans with electricity.
Large business associations in southern Germany want to give interested companies and institutions the opportunity to take advantage of the opportunities that can arise from "clean energy" cooperation with partners in Morocco, Algeria and other countries in the "Maghreb zone" at an early stage and on an exclusive basis. As part of the h2.green Maghreb project idea, they plan to provide their member companies and other partners from business, science and politics with the basic facts about the sun- and wind-rich countries in northwest Africa and to enable them to get to know the opportunities and risks of a hydrogen partnership with the Maghreb countries directly.

Would you like to receive further information on the emerging H2 partnerships between the German economy and the relevant institutions in the "Maghreb states"?

Are you actively interested in taking part in carefully planned fact-finding trips to these countries that will give you a decisive knowledge advantage - before the end of the first half of 2024?

If yes: Please send us an informal and non-binding expression of interest with your e-mail address and telephone number - as well as a few meaningful keywords about your company / institution - to:
